Today I am going to tell you  about  an endangered animal of India                                         Lion - Tailed Macaque The lion - tailed macaque gets its name from The tail which is pretty much shaped  like a lion's tail . The lion - tailed macaque is a species of macaque mostly native to Western Ghats of South India . It is a mammal with black hair and its outstanding characteristics is the silver-white mane which surrounds the head from the cheeks down to its chin , which gives this monkey its German name ' bartaffe ' - "Beard Ape " Life span - in wild , The Lion - tailed macaque can live up to 20 years .
